By using tidyunits.com (“TidyUnits”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. TidyUnits is an independent website run by an individual developer (“we”, “us”).

Using the tools

TidyUnits is free to use for personal and commercial work. You may use the results of any conversion or calculation however you like, including in client work, documents and code, without attribution.

Accuracy

We work hard to make every value exact and every explanation correct. See how we check values. However:

  • Results are provided as is, without any warranty that they are accurate, complete or suitable for a particular purpose.
  • Some answers depend on assumptions you choose, such as DPI or root font size. You are responsible for choosing settings that match your situation.
  • Verify critical measurements. Do not rely on TidyUnits alone where an error could cause injury, damage, financial loss or a legal problem, for example in engineering, construction, medical dosing or aviation.

If you find an error, please tell us so it can be fixed for everyone.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or its hosting;
  • scrape or copy the site in bulk, or republish its guides as your own;
  • use automated tools to generate ad impressions or clicks, or click ads in any way that isn’t genuine interest.

The text, design, drawings and code of TidyUnits are © TidyUnits. You may quote short passages with a link back to the page. The typeface Barlow is used under the SIL Open Font License.

TidyUnits shows ads provided by Google AdSense and links to external sites such as standards bodies. We are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of advertisers or linked sites.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TidyUnits and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
